چکیده

Abstract In this work a finite element-based model for analyzing incompressible flows in flexible channels is presented. The treats the fluid–solid interaction problem monolithic way, where governing equations both sub-domains are solved on single moving grid taking advantage of an arbitrary Lagrangian/Eulerian framework (ALE). unified implementation developed, these distinguished only terms mesh-moving strategy and constitutive equation coefficients. formulation derived considering Newtonian fluid hypoelastic solid. Hypoelastic law based strain rate thus naturally facilitates employing velocity as kinematic variable Unifying form defining semi-Lagrangian interface mesh-motion algorithm, one obtains coupled formulated unique variable. Resulting system characterized by reduced heterogeneity resembling that single-media problem. used conjunction with algebraic multigrid linear solver exhibits attractive convergence rates. tested using 2D 3D example.

An approximate model for slug flow heat transfer in channels of arbitrary cross section

In this paper, a novel approximate solution to determine the Nusselt number for thermally developed, slug (low-prandtl), laminar, single phase flow in channels of arbitrary cross section is presented. Using the Saint-Venant principle in torsion of beams, it is shown that the thermally developed Nusselt number for low-prandtl flow is only a function of the geometrical parameters of the channel c...

A goal programming approach for fuzzy flexible linear programming problems

We are concerned with solving Fuzzy Flexible Linear Programming (FFLP) problems. Even though, this model is very practical and is useful for many applications, but there are only a few methods for its situation. In most approaches proposed in the literature, the solution process needs at least, two phases where each phase needs to solve a linear programming problem. Here, we propose a method t...

Unified Analysis of Generalized Selection Combining over Arbitrary Fading Channels

We derive general, unified expressions for the probability density function, cumulative distribution function, and mean SNR of generalized selection combining operating over multibranch, arbitrary, correlated, non-identical fading channels. The expressions are written in terms of the joint probability density function of the branch signals and allow for the equalgain and maximal-ratio methods i...
